Been a little over a month...but here's my first review!!! Glamour Doll Eyes and Evil Shades.

Well, I guess seeing as I've been slacking, I should do a new post. In the last few weeks I've gotten some new samples from Glamour Doll Eyes and Evil Shades. From Evil Shades I ordered Mudkip, Braaains, and Zombie Moon. Because the TAT was so long, the owner included a wonderful shade called Eplefe. I will post pictures.

Now, the samples I got from GDE were in a grab bag. Basically that means that I just tell them what I don't like and they pick some random pigments and send them. You have no clue what you're getting till they get here. I was a little hesitant at first, but as soon as I got them, I was super happy. On top of  getting 10 random sample baggies and the one Eye Light that I chose, you also get 2 free samples with your order. So, all together I got 12 shadows and one Eye Light( super fine glitter). The shadows I got are Backstabber, Dear Mom, Skin of a Killer, Skinny Jeans, Dino Spotz, Boy Crazy, Brown Eyed Girl, Love Affair, Feline Fatale, and Chelsey. The two free ones were Trophy Wife and Sterling Glitz, which are gold and silver. I chose Hollywood as my Eye Light, its a rainbow holographic looking glitter. I absolutely love it.

I also got a full size jar of a shadow from GDE called Ruby June.  The proceeds from the shadows went to help the family of a little girl who needed a hemispherectomy ( a surgical procedure in which half the brain is removed or disconnected). It was for a good cause and its a gorgeous shadow.

So, first are the swatches for the Evil Shades shadows. I'm not going to use a primer because I'm out of make up remover and it's nearly impossible to get it off. Lol. I will be doing them wet and dry though.

Ruby June

All in all, I absolutely love every single one of the shadows I got, but I prefer the GDE shadows. The ES shadows are nice, but they don't hold as well as GDE. The shadows are richer and more pigmented.

I probably should have done the reviews separately, but for the sake of getting it done while the munchkin is asleep, this is it.

The Crow and The Powderpuff's 1,000 followers giveaway

So, one of the main reasons I made this blog is because I wanted to be able to follow this amazing woman  http://ladycrowx.blogspot.com/. And right now, she's doing this HUGE giveaway. Tons of awesome pigment  samples and what ever else she decides to throw in by the end of the giveaway. It's a very sweet thing for her to do for her followers, and it's people like her that make me want to get back into doing makeup more. If you want to enter, just follow the link above to her page and look for this image. Even if you don't enter, she's definitely worth checking out.

Here I am...

Well, I finally broke down and decided to start one of these. I guess I should give a little info, huh? My name is Melinda. I'm 23, married, and the mother of a beautiful baby girl named Hailey. Every day holds something new for us, with Hailey growing up so fast that I'm afraid to blink, my love for my family growing more everyday, and trying to find where we fit in this beautiful, chaotic world. I guess I made this blog because I needed something other than the typical social networking site to get out what I'm feeling. Or maybe it was because I love doing makeup and a lot of the blogs I read are always having giveaways and I want to get in on it. Lol. I love seeing the lovely work that the make up artists that I read about do, and maybe I'll post some looks of my own once I get back into the swing of things. Who knows?
